Bilingual Service Advisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Bilingual Service Advisor. The Bilingual Service Advisor will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our diverse customer base and ensuring a positive and professional experience for all.

Responsibilities:

1. Front-line Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries and concerns, both in person and over the phone. Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries, providing accurate information and resolving any issues to the customer's satisfaction.

2. Appointment Scheduling: Schedule service appointments for customers, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely completion of services. Coordinate with technicians and other service personnel to prioritize and expedite repairs and maintenance tasks.

3. Vehicle Inspection: Conduct initial inspections of vehicles to assess the needed repairs or maintenance. Provide clear and detailed explanations to customers regarding the nature of the work required, including cost estimates and timelines.

4. Upselling and Cross-selling: Proactively identify additional service or maintenance options that may benefit the customer based on their vehicle type, usage, and specific needs. Present these options in a persuasive manner, clearly explaining the benefits and value to the customer.

5. Documentation and Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repairs performed, and services offered. Prepare necessary paperwork and documentation, ensuring all details are captured correctly.

6. Language Support: Utilize bilingual abilities to effectively communicate with customers who speak English and a second language. Assist in translating technical terms and explanations to ensure understanding and clarity.

7. Collaboration: Collaborate with other service team members, including technicians and parts department personnel, to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Maintain open lines of communication to facilitate seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a second language (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin, etc.)
- Proven customer service experience, with a track record of providing exceptional customer care
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Knowledge of automotive industry and basic understanding of vehicle repair/maintenance concepts
- Proficient in computer operation and common software applications
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
- Valid driver's license
